Transcriptions from Order meetings

In each post below, a public transcript will be posted to summarise topics discussed and encouraged at the gatherings of its knights, paladins and clerics.
In-character, these are parchments nailed to the entrance of the chapel for everyone to read.
If you feel these postages require an IC response, you should do so in-game at the chapel's door rather than on this thread, as the purpose of this thread is to make the transcripts available to the general public.

I.
The first topic of discussion was the right granted by the lord regent's decree. To enforce the law and to detain.

A right bestowed upon us to be used sparingly. The Order are not guardsmen and will use this right solely when the island at large is threatened, but never to one individual's intentions or personal advancements. Likewise, the Order remains under rule and law of its Grandmaster; its paladins cannot be commanded by military or government personnel.

II.
The second topic of discussion was of Ankathia and the Sephyrreans at large.

Sephyrrean magic is unknown and unstable, sources: the governor names it dangerous to the island; the Midnight Court seems to draw power from it. Since Sephyrrean magic is a way of life to them, and they are individuals, they are to be granted freedom to act upon their will, so long as it falls in line with the benefit and survival of Hope Landing's populace rather than in the grasp of the Carrion Prince.
If their magic is found to be used irresponsibly however - through emotional unstability, hate, arrogance, or general ignorance for the well-being of Darroway's peoples, the fallout from such will be dealt with accordingly. At this time, we are yet to see them turn to brink of no return, however.

The third topic of discussion was of the theory of death, violence and disease powering the Carrion Prince.

From now on, all Order members have the duty to prevent bloodshed, active conflict, and most importantly death. If any death should occur, it is in the Order's hands to immediately burn the body, as the paladin-grandmaster believes it may prevent the deceased's soul to be locked into the skies above us as the Carrion's unwanting puppets.

IV.
The fourth topic of discussion was the Order's advancements to draw on the divine and against daemons.

The paladin-grandmaster and her paladins have since successfully drawn on Radiance to weaponise light against the growing daemon threat. Any Order member should now spread the word that paladins should be called upon when daemonic threats are present. Citizens are welcomed to stay vigilant, but the Order should take up the front lines, as that is their purpose.
